Dear Sir,
If God was to deal with me according to my deserts, if He was to send
me as accursed into everlasting fire prepared for the Devil and his angels,
He would be a most holy and righteous God therein. But such was the infinite
love of the Father to us, that He put the cup of damnation, of curse
and wrath, into Christ's hand, and through His drinking it up for us, He
puts the cup of salvation into ours!
